The first thing visitors
notice about this colt is his size and substance! He is already
48" at the withers at 2 months old. His dam has produced
only one offspring under 15 hands and that mare was 14.3. I expect
that he will reach or top 15 hands.
This colt is definitely an excellent
choice for an owner who enjoys the Paso ride, but needs a taller,
substantial horse without coarseness.
As a buckskin, this colt carries
bay (black with agouti) and creme genes. Since his dam is a chestnut
(double red), he also inherited a red color gene which he could
pass on. His sire also carried the dun gene. Although a dorsal
stripe is visible, it is not known whether this is from a dun
gene or is just countershading on the colt.
As a breeding stallion, this
colt has a wide variety of color possiblilties he could produce
from buckskins to palominos to bays or chestnuts - and possibly
duns... depending on what he is bred to
